PLN-13

As a student I see the effects of poor teaching from the receiving end. I have had many teachers who use the same exact curriculum year after year with the same projects and same work ethics. The point of school to me is to learn, practice, and then succeed, now learning being the first thing means opening your mind to new ideas and criticism to better your skills in Math, Language Arts, Science or any other class. Obviously over the years I have gathered more knowledge and improved my thinking skills drastically. If I just kept my thinking in the same spot for my entire school career then, well, I would still be in first grade not going anywhere. The same applies to teachers; they must be constantly changing their ways in teaching every day. Learning from what teaching skills work and which ones don’t, every student learns in different ways so a teacher must conform to fit the needs of those children. Also keeping in mind in how our world and society, in technology especially, has been changing and developing into new things that no one has ever seen before. Not learning from the changes around you and just sticking with the same old teaching styles will only hurt the students in the long run because they will not be prepared for the future. There is always room for improvement.

Kelly, you did a good job keeping your eye contact with us as well as giving us examples of the things you were talking about. Good job.

Kelly I thought you did a really good job. You should matter in the PLN, to you, and the rest of the world. Try to have more eye contact though. Other than that great job and keep up the good work!

Kelly,
I thought you had a pretty good presentation. You spoke well, but you relied on your notes a little bit too much. So next time make sure you make good eye contact. Your posts were very interesting which made it easier to listen and stay focused on what you were saying. Good job.

Kelly, good job. You spoke nice and loud for all of us out here is the audience. You had great word choice, examples, and points to support your opinions on your articles. Try to make a little more eye contact, but other than that, you were awesome.

Kelly, you did a good job on your presentation. Great job on relating yourself to the articles you read. You need to look at the audiance a little more, but other then that you had a clear voice and you did a great job.

You did a really good job with explaining your PLNs and you spoke loud and clear. I think that the only thing you need to work on is looking at the audience a little bit more. But other than that very good job!

Kelly,
It surprising to know how many people have dropped out and I feel the same way to sometimes. I agree that different teaching styles and lessons would be more interesting. I also agree that he government should provide more for schools. You have really good ideas and explained really well. Don't really have any advice or criticism
Good Job!

Kelly! Good eye contact. I don't think it is okay for kids to be dropping out of school, even if they're famous or something, and have to tour, they should at least be homeschooled, because when their career is over, they'll need their education they can fall back on. I also agree that there is room for improvment. I think the ciriculum needs to be altered because it will keep people interested and encourage them to not drop out of school.
